A Great Way to Go

About me.

I am a proud Essex girl born on Mersea island. I am married and have one daughter, a step daughter and a grandson. I am also happily hurtling towards my 60s.

What Qualifies me to create funerals?

I have more than 13 years experience of supporting people
to create meaningful funerals.

I have an MSc from the Centre for Death and Society at The University of Bath and am now an Associate of the department. www.bath.ac.uk/cdas

I have taken part in programes on BBC Radio 4, Radio 5 live and BBC Radio Gloucestershire.

I have contibuted to books about death and dying and at present am working on an arts project at Gloucester Crematorium called Written in Stone with Poet Emily Wills.

What brings me joy?

My family.

Taking photographs. I just point and click. I don't know what I'm doing but I love it!

My garden.

Being at the beach and watching the sea come and go.

Making things with yarn and cloth.

Poetry. It seems to give me answers to difficult questions.
